Today was quite a day.
I went to a job fair this afternoon. It was geared towards single mothers, but I was told you didn't have to be a mom to attend. I met with a few prospective employers and who knows? Maybe I will find a job with one of them.
I also went to my first caucus this evening.
That was definitely a learning experience.

Happy Pi Day!

Anyway. I spent the morning downtown at the courthouse. A very dear friend of mine was fighting a "protective order" that had been placed against her by her ex-husband to keep her away from her girls.

He had made several false accusations against her and she was desperately fighting to get her sweet girls back. There were about 20 of us there to support her.

Fortunately, the judge saw through the load garbage her ex-husband was dishing out and he dissolved the order.

I hope this will be the end of the nonsense, but knowing her ex-husband I doubt it will be.

I'm on Spring Break at school.
And, thankfully, mother nature has decided to cooperate and give us some beautiful Spring weather to enjoy during break.
It's been sunny and in the low to mid 60's.
I have tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths sprouting in the flower beds.
Yay for Spring!

I got a new hairstyle recently.

It's a lot longer than I'm used to, and I'm still trying to figure out the best way to style it. But, I love it. And I've gotten lots of compliments on it.

We went to Roseville while I was home, and we stopped for Gellato.

I had Raspberry and Lemon.

It was really great. The Lemon was so sour it gave me instant heartburn.

March 10th is Mom's Birthday.

We had a little get-together to celebrate. Family and friends came over for a barbecue. And I made a couple of cakes; a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and a chocolate cake filled with mousse. Both were really delicious and a big hit!
